I love getting to be a facilitator for your family's memories. Once you've booked a session I'll communicate with you about your family's hobbies and special interests, as well as any concerns, in length before the big day. I want to know as much about your family as I can before I get to your session. This information gathering helps me to be prepared to capture what makes your family so special. I will also answer any questions or concerns you might have.

I love to see the outfits you have chosen and collaborate with you about location choices.
The few days leading up to your session we will finalize the timeline and details of the photoshoot, decide on a meet up location and time.

The day of the session we will meet, greet, and begin! During your photo session I will do everything I can to put you and your family at ease. We can play music, dance, and enjoy our time together. I always encourage you to anything your children might need as incentive to have a good time such as stuffed animals, special blankets, candy or bubbles. We will play games, tell stories, jokes, laugh and have an all around good time. I do my best to take over the direction of the kids. Sometimes it's easier for them to play a game with me or be silly than it is to expect them sit pretty and smile. We're going for capturing the moment, not studio portrait, and when kids leave my sessions they always have big smiles and had a good time.

I work within the Kansas City area, but I am based out of the Smithville Lake area. I am happy to travel to any and all locations for a small mileage fee. If when booking your session you are wanting to travel to multiple locations we can discuss how that will work within your session as each session is different. Sometimes it means we need to split larger sessions up into multiple sessions instead of one long marathon session so that we aren't rushed and can take advantage of the best lighting.

You will receive an online gallery that contains all the edited images from your session. You can download and share them, choose your favorites, as well as order prints!

First of all, don't stress about poses or how you'll look in your photos. As your photographer it's my job to make you are comfortable and to help you be as photogenic in your photos as possible. It's your job to come with a smile! If you have specific concerns, please let me know those up front and I will do my best to help!
